The Charitos Society is the leadership annual giving program of the Theta Delta Chi Educational Foundation. The Foundation supports undergraduate scholarships; the Preamble Institute, an intensive three day TDX only undergraduate leadership training program; publication of The Shield magazine; colonization of new Charges and recolonization of inactive Charges; educational programs and the Omega Service at the Annual Convention; educational grants to Charges; the staffing and premises of the Central Fraternity Office in Boston, from which the business of the Foundation, Grand Lodge, and Founders’ Corporation is conducted; and much more.
Theta Delta Chi has made a lasting, beneficial impact on tens of thousands of men since its founding in 1847, a testament to its guiding values and principles. Those who have gone before and realized that benefit have a responsibility to ensure the same opportunity for undergraduate Theta Delts and future brothers. The oath we took lasts a lifetime. Membership in The Charitos Society will ensure the future of Theta Delta Chi for lifetimes to come.

For interested members, periodic newsletters publicize scheduled Charitos events and keep members up to date on the business and professional activities of fellow Charitos members. Charitos also facilitates valuable networking opportunities with other Theta Delts from all Charges across the continent and around the world.
The good company of fellow Theta Delts should not end with graduation. The Charitos Society sponsors complimentary or subsidized social, professional, and educational events throughout the year. These small, personal gatherings of Charitos members and their guests include theater, concerts, sporting events, museum tours, lectures, and gourmet dining experiences.
